Where Scripture Meets the Ground Beneath Your Feet
For over a century, the Bible was something you either believed or you didn't — faith with no evidence in between. Archaeology changed that.
In this three-part course, walk through the First Temple period (1000–586 BCE) and meet three of Judah and Israel's most consequential kings through the artifacts that prove they lived. See the Tel Dan Stele — the first place outside the Bible where "House of David" appears, carved by an enemy king with no reason to lie. Trace King Ahab's battle that isn't even in the Bible, confirmed by an Assyrian monument in the British Museum. Stand, at least virtually, inside King Hezekiah's water tunnel — still walkable today — where ancient engineers carved their own words at the spot two teams met in the dark.
Taught by Rabbi Dr. Tuvia Book, this course brings biblical archaeology out of the museum case and into the land itself — connecting kings who ruled 3,000 years ago to the Jewish people who still walk their footsteps today.
